CAN I DO THIS ALONE?

Can I do this alone?....

What is life without the Lord?

More so why would I desire to?

For Jesus said that “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life”.  If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”  (John 14:6-7 NAS-UE).  The Lord is in the Father and the Father is in Him.  The Lord left us to prepare a place for us and sent Him the Spirit of God to comfort us.

“I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. (John 14:16-17 NAS-UE)

What is life without the Lord?
Lost in a dying and cruel world without wisdom, peace, strength, and joy in your heart.  You are a sheep in the wilderness without covering and protection.
Can I do this alone?....  More so why would you desire to?
Free gift of salvation – believing on Jesus Christ as your Savior.  Through His sacrificial pain, suffering and death followed by His resurrection we no longer have to be separated from our Heavenly Father.  We no longer have to be victim to the world and the power of Satan.
Free Spiritual Guidance 24/7 to bring God’s word, will and way for our lives.  Why is the flesh so adamant about being in charge?  When it has proven time and time again to be wrong and has repeatedly made selfish, prideful decisions without even seeking as much as the wise counsel as encouraged in God’s word.  The way of a fool seems right to him, but a wise man listens to advice (Proverbs 12:15 NIV)  For as it says in Genesis the imagination of man’s heart is evil.  We cannot do this ourselves and be in the will of God.  For we must lean not unto our own understanding but in all our ways acknowledge God and he will make our paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5)  So again I say can we do it alone; more so why would I desire to?
Access to every spiritual blessing - Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing.(Eph 1:3 NIV)
In Him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory.  And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation.  Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession to the praise of His glory. (Eph 1:11-14 NIV)
It is important to be equally yoked in our marriages but also our closest friendships.  Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.  For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common?  Or what fellowship can light have with darkness (2 Cor 6:14 NIV)

You cannot seek guidance and advice from those who do not know the ways of God.  There are many variables and scenarios that may play out.  Their advice could be correct, but most likely it will be tainted by:

               1.  Personal agendas

               2.  Personal hurts

               3.  Desire to maintain your friendship so they only tell you what they believe you desire to hear.

               4.  They are influenced by the world and not the Spirit of God.

               5.  They may have something to gain or lose in their counsel.

These may only be just a few examples of why an unequally yoked friend may not be a good choice for counsel.  A friend who knows where they are in God, is willing to tell you the difficult things, and make you accountable is a positive thing but even than people too close to you may still fall short in this area. Wise counsel should be from proven Godly Spirit filled mentors, prophets, teachers, leaders, clergy, elders, etc.    First you must be in prayer and seek the Lord, than take it to your counsel, than do not act hastily.  Make sure it lines up with the word.  Do you have Rhema on that word in your Spirit, than you must know and act only when God has shown you His way for it to manifest.  All decisions do not have to have the counsel of others this is usually for big decisions that have great impact on your life and the life of others.  But you should follow the steps of being in the word that is the truth of God, know in your spirit that it is the will of God and do not mess it up by trying to make it happen under your own strength, and way.  Allow God to open the doors, bring the divine connections, and avenues to carry out the plans of your Heavenly Father.  By doing these things you will grow in your spiritual seeing and hearing.  God through this practice will build your gifts of the Spirit equipping you to be the wise mentor, or counsel for others that seek you for Godly wisdom and guidance.
These things I have spoken to you while abiding with you.  But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.  Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.  Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.  You heard that I said to you, I go away and I will come to you.  If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced because I go to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.  Now I have told you before it happens, so that when it happens, you may believe.  I will not speak much more with you for the ruler of the world is coming and he has nothing in Me; but so that the world may know that I love the Father, I do exactly as the Father commanded Me.  Get up, let us go from here. (John 14:25-31 NASU)
Food for future thought the Lord gave prophecy, a promise of what was to come so they would be prepared.

Be blessed in always in all ways.

Love, In His service Pamela
