What Season Are You In?

Recognizing the season that you are in with God is beneficial to your growth as well as your sanity.  When you know you are in a dry season you know that it is only temporary and you can ask God to expedite this season by being obedient to what the Spirit is trying to teach you or do in you or remove from you.  The Moses experience does not have to happen to you.  We do need to go through these periods from time to time; but your attitude and how you embrace this time will determine how long it lasts.   If the people Moses was leading had been accepting and open to what God wanted for them and their minds and hearts were open to the new transformation he was trying to do in them they could have entered the Promise Land.  But because he did not want to taint the Promised Land with slavery and abused, unappreciated mindsets by a complaining people they had to wander in the desert and were not allowed to enter in.  Only their descendants who embraced all the possibilities in God and knew who they were in God could enter in.  They were hopeful, excited and prepared to enter and conquer the “territory” that they were to possess

Once God has stripped the abused and slavery mentality from your heart and mind you will be ready to be built up, equipped and ready to take your promised land.  This land can encompass many things.  And as you seek God and God is revealed to you your identity is also revealed to you.  You discover those things that are shut up in your bones.  Your purpose and destined path take light and begin to be identified. You are able to identify the things within that drive you and you do not desire to live life without them being carried out.  In the light there is life.  Without His divine light they will wither and die or be manipulated by the world.  The season of the equipping takes you seeking God with all your heart.  Standing on the words that God has placed in your heart. Because in the natural you are still like David or Joseph you have been prophesied or personally told by God that you have this great purpose for leadership but you are still the ruddy shepherd boy coming out of the back field, or in the pit of a prison like Joseph so to speak being forgotten or overlooked by society.  But know that you are who God says you are not what this world and man says you are.  Stripping the view and perception of this world from your own heart and mindset takes a work of God and a commitment from you to allow God to be God in your life.  It takes the Spirit of God to empower you, to build confidence to raise you to the leader; warrior for the Kingdom God has called and decreed you to be.  See you are already who God says you are.  He has finished the work in you but it takes your love of God and your cooperation to unveil the true you.  It takes the desert experiences, the trial periods, the educational periods, and the maturing of your mind, will, and emotions to come to the point that you are equipped but also your character is that of a righteous man or women of God that will be able to stand for God, take the arrows and the blows, and not be swayed by man, doctrines, temptations or circumstances.

Another type of season in God is to know when you are in a giving, or receiving season in God.  We are to always have a heart that is willing to give.  We are to give it all to God and allow the Spirit of God to determine how we are to distribute are time, talents and finances.  But also know that there are times that God desires to give; enjoy and receive all your blessings from the Lord.  Receiving is often a time not only that He desires a blessing for you, but it may be He is also doing a work in someone else that has issues with giving, finances etc.  It is very humbling to receive and God desires us to have a humble and contrite heart.  Pride cannot be present when we are humble and show ourselves to be approved.

It is a privilege to accept the life of a Christian, but it is a greater honor to accept and answer the call by allowing God to work through your life for the sake of His Glory and the salvation and relationship of others.

Do you desire your promised land?  Do you desire to take power and dominion over your life and all God has and will entrust to you by and with the power and authority of Christ in you?  Once God is allowed to be God in you and you’re a committed to receiving the life He has chosen for you things will begin to happen at a more accelerated pace.  With God there will always be seasons or cycles and some are more comfortable than others. Embrace every one of them; He has given you the Grace (power and fortitude) to stay the course.  Ask for His eyes to see all things and especially yourself through His eyes.  Because He sees you not only as a child He loves dearly, but as a righteous, victorious, warrior, with all the power and authority of Christ Jesus.  We are coheirs with Christ we are divine royalty and Gods desire for our lives are beyond our imagination and comprehension.  We may never know the fullness of his love, desire and plans for our lives but we can ask God to show us.  If we can believe and see a glimpse of the heaven He has placed in us, we will always be the more than conquerors; He has decreed and scriptures says that we are more than Conquerors in Christ Jesus.
